Akshay Kumar's 'Jolly LLB 2' Is Doing Wonders At The Box Office And Minting Crores. The Movie Has Become The Successful Sequel Of Arshad Warsi' 2012 Release 'Jolly LLB', Which Itself Was A Critical Hit And Even Witnessed Box Office Success As Well.
Akshay Kumar's 'Jolly LLB 2' is doing wonders at the box office and minting crores. The movie has become the successful sequel of Arshad Warsi' 2012 release 'Jolly LLB', which itself was a critical hit and even witnessed box office success as well.
In fact, Arshad himself won a lot of critical appreciation for the movie.
But not many people are aware of the fact that the 'Golmaal' actor was not the first choice for 'Jolly LLB'.
According to the media reports, director Subhash Kapoor had offered the movie to superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
During an interview, Subhash had revealed that SRK was quite interested in the movie and was keen to play the role of a lawyer for the first time on the silver screen.
However, the 'Dilwale' actor had to give 'Jolly LLB' a miss as he was busy with 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and 'Chennai Express'.
SRK's loss became Arshad's gain, as after Khan's denial for the movie, Subhash Kapoor offered 'Jolly LLB' to Warsi, who signed the movie instantly.
The movie was shot within 45 days and Fox Star Studios opted for a platform release and rest as they know is history.
Now Arshad Warsi is seen singing praises for 'Jolly LLB 2'.
While talking to a leading daily, the actor stated, "Akshay is very good at what he does and he must have done a damn good job. It is in the same space as the first one but with a bigger star it is looking more larger than life".
'Jolly LLB 2' also stars Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla and Annu Kapoor in key roles.
