Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was in Kochi for the launch of a new shop of a mobile phone retailer. She received warm-welcome by thousands of fans which lead the main artery of the city MG Road to a complete standstill.
The crowd started gathering over the place since the early morning leading traffic to crawl during the rush hour.
Fans went crazy to get a glimpse of ‘Baby-Doll’ and in order to control the crowd, Kochi police resorted to Lathicharge several times.
But, the crowd found places on the top of buses, hoardings and even on metro rail pillars to see their favourite star, which created a mayhem and endless traffic jams in the area.
Meanwhile, Police official who were supposed to anticipate the gathering and was deployed to control it, washed their hands from the responsibility by saying, "The actor's visit really affected the traffic movement of the city. Anyhow, we cannot initiate any action against the public as no one is part of any organisation’’.
But, a case has been registered against the people who were identified on charges for disrupting traffic, says Police official.
However, Sunny was so excited to greet the fans in such huge numbers and also admired police and the organisers as well.
The ‘Ragini MMS’ star posted a series of tweets to express her love for the city of Kochi
