Taapsee Pannu takes a dig at Kabir Singh by mentioning Nagpur murder case, netizens say it is ‘insensitive’
Shahid Kapoor And Kiara Advani’s Film Has Crossed The Rs 250-crore Mark Within A Month Of Its Release.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s film has crossed the Rs 250-crore mark within a month of its release. It has become the biggest hit of 2019 so far, surpassing URI’s lifetime collection of Rs 245.36 crore. While the film is continuing to create magic at the box-office, many criticised it for being "misogynistic" and "patriarchal.''
Recently, with regard to the Nagpur murder case wherein a girl was brutally murdered by her alleged boyfriend, Taapsee Pannu tweeted saying, "Or maybe let's just say they were madly in love with each other and this 'act' was to validate his true love for her."
This was probably a dig at Kabir Singh director Sandeep Reddy Vanga who had said that "if a man cannot slap or kiss a woman whenever he likes, there's no love and passion".
Taapsee’s tweet didn’t go down well with the internet, and within no time she was trolled for choosing such heinous news for a sarcastic tweet.
The actress defended herself in a second tweet, in which she wrote, ''Statutory warning: people with no sense of sarcasm kindly ignore me and my tweet. Thank you, it was nice not knowing you."
On the work front, Taapsee has many new films in her kitty. After Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar, she will be seen in Saand Ki Aankh, where she will play the role of a 60-year-old woman sharpshooter. She was last seen in Game Over.
