Rana Daggubatti's First Release Of The Year 'The Ghazi Attack' Has Got A Slow Start At The Box Office And Made A Collection Of Rs 1.65 Crores In Hindi Version On The Day Of Release.
Rana Daggubatti's first release of the year 'The Ghazi Attack' has got a slow start at the box office and made a collection of Rs 1.65 crores in Hindi version on the day of release.
The underwater Indo-Pak war tale, was released in three languages - Hindi, Telgu and Tamil.
Interestingly, 'The Ghazi Attack' has done fairly well in other versions making an overall collection of Rs 4.25 cr.
Also starring Taapsee Pannu, KK Menon and Om Puri in key roles, the movie has got mixed reviews from the audience and critics, which could be one of the reasons behind the limited earnings.
According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the war tale still has a chance to make a difference in its collection only with the help of word of mouth.
He took it to micro-blogging Twitter to share the box office report and wrote "TheGhaziAttack Fri ₹ 1.65 cr. Note: Hindi version... All versions: ₹ 4.25 cr... Excellent word of mouth should ensure a jump in biz."
Â
Notably, 'The Ghazi Attack' is also facing a tough competition at the box office by Akshay Kumar's satirical courtroom drama 'Jolly LLB 2', which is minting crores even in the second week of release.
Helmed by Sankalp Reddy, the movie marks his big Bollywood debut.Â
Only time will reveal if this debutant director will be able to leave a mark in B-town.
