Masaan might not have been Vicky Kaushal immediate claim to fame, but it definetly was his stepping stone to stardom, a platform that let the world know the 29 year talent house.
Masaan received much critical acclaim and the actor has come a long way since then and has emerged as one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood today.
To marks four years of Massan and his entry to Bollywood, the URI actor revealed yet another secret talent of his. Vicky presented a beautiful Sitar rendition of Amit Kilam's 'Mann Kasturi' song from the film to celebrate four years of this independent drama movie.Earlier today the actor also shared a heartfelt post how he prepared himself for the role of Deepak, a boy from the Dom community whose family works in cremation ghats and eventually ends up creating his girlfriend.

Masan also starred Shweta Tripathi, Richa Chaddam Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra in key roles. Vicky recieved Filmfare Award as Debutant Male and 22nd Screen Awards for Most Promising Male actor for the same.
Vicky wrote, "For days before we started filming Masaan, I’d sit here for hours at a stretch, quietly watching bodies getting burnt one after the other... dark, fair, beautiful, ugly, rich, poor, fat, thin... All of them turning into the same colour of ash. Leaving behind, just their deeds, teaching me the most important lesson of my life. My job was to put life into Deepak, what eventually happened was the other way around."

Vicky was last seen in the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill in box-office blockbuster in Uri: The Surgical Strike. Currently, he is prepping for Shoojit Sircar's film Sardar Udham Singh. The actor will also be seen as as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in Meghna Gulzar's upcoming war drama and horror flick Bhoot.
