Ace cricketer Virat Kohli has refuted the reports of his engagement with Anushka Sharma, saying they aren't getting engaged yet.
It was reported that the couple will be exchanging the rings on January 1 in Uttarakhand.
The rumors began after Virat and Anushka were spotted holidaying in the state. Besides, Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat too had welcomed the couple there with a tweet on micro-blogging site Twitter. As per the media reports while the respective parents of the couple were flying down to Uttarakhand for the ceremony, their engagement was to be attended by the bigwigs of the industry.
However, Virat took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to clear the air and wrote, " We aren't getting engaged & if we were going to,we wouldn't hide it. Simple".
In another tweet, he lashed out the media over the rumors of his engagement and said, "Since news channels cant resist selling false rumours & keeping you confused, we are just ending the confusion".

Well, Kohli's statement has indeed put all the rumors of his engagement to rest.
Besides, Anushka too went on to support his words and retweeted his post on Twitter
Virat and Anushka have been dating each other for a while now. Though, there were reports that the couple has parted ways early this year, Virat-Anushka were seen together and their frequent appearances dropped hints of their relationship going stronger.
In fact, the couple was also seen making an appearance together at Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech's wedding in Goa.
