Vishal Bhardwaj conferred with Yash Bharti award by UP Government

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today felicitated prominent film director Vishal Bhardwaj with Yash Bharati award for his exemplary contribution to the film industry. He presented Bhardwaj with a shawl, a citation certificate and a cheque of Rs 11 lakh. Yadav said the SP government has always felicitated skills and abilities and that there were a number of persons who are glorifying the state and abroad with their skills and abilities.
Vishal Bhardwaj has directed Haider, Kaminey, Omkara, Maqbul, Matru Ki Bijli and has given music in movies like Ishqiya, No Smoking, Ek thi Daayan, Talvar.
Bhardwaj has also won National Film Award (Special Jury) for Omkara and Best screenplay for Haider and Talvar.
