Actress Anushka Sharma feels women are able to express themselves more freely now in the country.
When asked what message does she have for women, Anushka told, "The way we are going right now, women are expressing themselves freely, how everybody is talking about working towards women empowerment, it is a very good time we are living in.
"We all should work together towards making it a better country. When everyone is happy, women and kids are doing well in a country, you would be a successful economical nation," she said.
Anushka was speaking at the red carpet of Lux Golden Rose Awards, on Saturday night.
The actress has had an amazing year professionally with both her films-- "Sultan" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil"-- becoming big hits.
The actress said she is enjoying this phase of her life.
"I am very happy. I got a lot of love this year with 'Sultan' and 'Ae Dil', I really feel very grateful. This phase is going on and I am enjoying it. I am very grateful that I am getting these opportunities to show different facets of me as an actor.
"It is not just that these films have been very successful but also that my characters were appreciated by the audience. This is a big thing for any actor," she said.
