Shoot for Bhool Bhulaiyaa sequel starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani is going on in full swing and director Anees Bazmee talking about what the audience can expect from the film revealed that is nothing like the original Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer. He clarified that this would be a completely original film and the ‘Khiladi’ Kumar will not have a cameo in the film.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle about the film Anees said, "This is a completely different story. Besides the title, we have taken two songs from the original -- the title song and the Bengali song. The rest of the film is completely original."
The film will star Kartik Aaryan alongside Kiara Advani who the Pagalpanti director said is a "fresh and good looking pair" who are terrific together.
The film's first shooting schedule had completed in 2019 in Mumbai. The remainder of the portions will be shot in Jaipur and is mainly set in the region
.
The 2007 original film also featured Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja. It was the official Hindi remake of the 1993 Malayalam comedy psychological thriller, "Manichitrathazhu".
Talking about reports of Akshay appearing in the film in a cameo or as guest appearance, Anees pouring water in the expectations of all Akkians said "Akshay is a very big and very busy star. To justify his presence in a cameo is not possible. I don’t think we will be able to accommodate him. But I am sure he wishes us all the best."
"Bhool Bhulaiyya 2" is scheduled to hit the theatres on July 31, 2020. While Bhool Bhulaiyaa was a psychological-thriller with lots of laughs, the sequel is a proper horror-comedy with plenty of spooky moments.
