Joaquin Phoenix Has No Intentions For Joker Sequel
Talking About The Success Of Joker, The Movie Has Become The Most Successful R-rated Movies Of All Time. Joker Officially Crossed $900M At The World Wide Box Office Within One Month Of Release.
The end of Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix at the asylum led many to believe that Todd Phillips may have a sequel. In fact, there have been lost of talks that Phoenix might return as Arthur Fleck in the Joker origin movie though there hasn’t been concrete word of mouth from the filmmakers themselves. The talks about a sequel can however be laid o rest for now because Phoenix says so.
“I wouldn’t just do a sequel just because the first movie is successful, that’s ridiculous,” Phoenix told LA Times’ The Envelope. The actor, revealed about the possibility of a sequel on the sets of Joker.
“Long before the release or before we had any idea if it would be successful, we talked about sequels. “In the second or third week of shooting, I was like: ‘Todd, can you start working on a sequel? There’s way too much to explore.’ It was kind of in jest — but not really,” he said.
Talking about the success of Joker, the movie has become the most successful r-rated movies of all time. Joker officially crossed $900M at the world wide box office within one month of release.
