Young and dynamic producer Mahesh Danannavar has several firsts to his credit. His debut Gujarati film Shu Thayu became the biggest Gujarati blockbuster when it released. Keeping the trend of firsts alive, Mahesh has now decided to make the first ever Gujarati web series. And true to his style Mahesh Danannavar has got some big names from the Gujarati film industry on board for the crime comedy web series which will release on a major OTT platform.
Mahesh says, “I love experimenting and doing something new. With such a strong audience for Gujarati cinema, it would be very interesting to see how a web series is received on the digital platform as it also gives us the freedom to reach a vast audience internationally. We have also got some very big names and I am very excited.”
Mahesh has confirmed that he has roped in Jayesh Patil as Show Head and Anish Shah and Jagrat Mehta as director The series has already got a great start as the first episode will be premiered at The International Gujarati Film Festival in Los Angles.
Mahesh adds, “We have cast some big actors in the series. With such eminence talent, I’m sure we will create a strong content driven show.”
Mahesh Danannavar is known for his cinematic work in various regional languages. Apart from Gujarati films, he is also producing Kannada film Gaalipata 2 as a producer. Mahesh produces films under his banner MD Media Corp, a Bangalore based production house known for producing entertaining films in multiple languages.
