From Kasautii Zindagi Kay to Cannes 2019 - Hina Khan gets candid in latest media interview

Television actress Hina Khan, whose quit from popular daily soap Kasautii Zindagi Kay created a lot of buzz in the Tinseltown, during her latest media interaction, expressed wish to return to the show. Speaking to the media, the Bigg Boss 11 finalist said she is badly missing Komolika, the onscreen character of her in Kasautii and the entire team of the Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer.

"Badly missing the character of Komolika and the Kasautii team. I am in constant touch with the team and would like to play the character of Komolika again if I get a chance," Khan said, adding that the romantic drama produced by Ekta Kapoor is the best show of the present time.

Khan, who generated a lot of curiosity with her much-hyped entry on the season 2 of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, quit the show in the view of her commitments to a film helmed by Hussain Khan. In the movie, Hina will be portraying a strong woman-centric role and be seen alongside Farida Jalal. The story of the film will be revolving around the life of Kashmir valley in 1990s.

Being asked about her red-carpet debut at the 72nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival in May, the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star said she is overwhelmed with the response she received from both the fans and the industry. "I want to thank the Indian media from the bottom of my heart and cannot forget how they supported me throughout the time," media quoted Hina as saying.

Talking about her equation with B-town diva Priyanka Chopra, the actress said she has supported me a lot and recently I have also met her for a reason. The bond between Hina and Priyanka was hitting headlines in late May after the duo were seen praising each other and sharing some special moments at Cannes 2019.

While the entire TV fraternity was bombarding social media with their heartfelt messages for Hina over her Cannes Debut, inside the film festival, she received the love and attention of none other than Priyanka Chopra. PeeCee did not leave Hina's side even for a second and introduced her to people as a star. The duo was also seen partying together along with Nick Jonas and a host of Bollywood celebrities like Diana Penty, Hume Qureshi at the side-lines of Cannes 2019.

Hina also shared a lot of pictures on social media and wrote a heart-warming post for Chopra thanking her for unconditional support and love. "This is the Priyanka Chopra who believes in lifting others and growing together. You are a sweetheart @nickjonas #AnOutsider #FromTelevisonToCannes," she wrote.

Asked about her upcoming projects, Hina did not elaborate much and chose to remain tight-lipped. However, reports suggest that the actress, who won millions of hearts with her role of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is also having some international projects in the pipeline.
