Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel has has renewed his deal with ABC for an additional three years. ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey made the announcement at the network’s upfront presentation in New York, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Kimmel, who has been at the network since 2003, signed a two-year contract extension in 2014. The latest deal will keep him on ABC through the autumn of 2019 and make him the longest-running host in late night.
He is also set to host the 2016 Primetime Emmy Awards September 18. It will be his second time hosting the awards show.
Kimmel’s signature segments from his late-night show including “Mean Tweets,” “Lie Witness News,” and “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy” have been a big hit with the audience.
