Sara Khan to step into Avika's shoes for Roli's character
The Colors Show Will Get A Change In The Storyline As The Show’s Protagonist Roli (Avika) Will Meet With An Accident And Burn Her Face. She Will Go Through A Plastic Surgery And Sara Will Step As New Roli.
Actress Sara Khan, who will be stepping into the shoes of Avika Gor to play the popular character Roli on ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, says she did not watch the previous episodes of the show to add originality into the character.
The Colors show will get a change in the storyline as the show’s protagonist Roli (Avika) will meet with an accident and burn her face. She will go through a plastic surgery and Sara will step as new Roli.
“Avika was brilliant in her role but I intentionally did not watch the show as I wanted to put my own observations into the character of Roli based on the script and narration. I don’t want to copy her.
“As an actor, I hardly get time to watch any daily soaps but thanks to my friends and family I know that the show is quite popular,” Sara told PTI.
The Bhopal-born actress, who was last seen in TV series ‘Encounter’, said shooting for the daily soap has been like a family picnic.
“I know the whole cast of the show as they all are my friends. So, shooting with them is like a family picnic. All of them made me feel comfortable on the set,” she said.
Sara rose to fame with her famous stint on ‘Bigg Boss 4’, where she got married to TV actor Ali Merchant only to get divorced after two months.
The actress feels that this year’s celebrity reality show is “full of aggression”.
“They are playing well. But they do few things which are not happening as a viewer. They are so aggressive and I don’t think any of the housemates during my stint were like that,” she added.
