11 students killed, 6 injured after bus falls into deep gorge in J-K’s Shopian district

Eleven students, including 9 girls, of a private computer training institute were killed and 6 others injured on Thursday after their vehicle fell into a deep gorge near Peer Ki Gali in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources said that all the students were of a private computer training institute and were out on a trip when the unfortunate incident happened.
"A rescue operation was launched immediately. The injured have been shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for treatment," the sources said.
The Mughal Road connects Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu division with the Valley. Due to heavy snowfall, the road remains closed during the winter months.
