12, including 8 children, killed in two separate incidents in Uttarakhand
Two Children Escaped With Minor Injuries And The Injured Have Been Brought To The District Hospital Bauradi, He Said.
At least 12 people, including 8 students, were killed in two separate incidents in Uttarakhand on Tuesday. According to reports, 5 passengers died when a boulder fell on their bus at Lambagad slide zone on Badrinath Highway. Several other persons were feared trapped when the last report came.
In another incident, 8 children were killed and 10 injured on Tuesday when their school van fell into a deep gorge in the district, officials said. The incident occurred on the Pratap Nagar-Kangsali-Madan Negi motor road when the van was on its way to Madannegi, Tehri District Magistrate V Shanmugam said.
Two children escaped with minor injuries and the injured have been brought to the District Hospital Bauradi, he said.
SDRF team has been rushed to the spot and the injured have been shifted to a hospital.
Rescue operations are underway in both the incidents.
