A 21-year-old techie jumped off from a running train to escape three men to escape the sexual harassment being made by them in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday evening.
Deputy superintendent of railway police M Satti Babu told the media that the victim was going home for in Vijaywada for her engagement ceremony along with two of her friends in Ernakulam-Hazrat Nizamuddin Millennium Express.
A senior police official of the rail police told the media that the victim got into S1 coach to request the ticket travelling examiner for seats as they did not have confirmed tickets.
As the victim along with women were standing in the compartment along with three men allegedly started harassing them and started passing lewd comments. One of the accused was filming the act.
The three cried for help but none in the coach intervened. The victim fearing the advances jumped off the train.
Police further added that victim has suffered multiple injuries including a head fracture.
