300% hike in Amit Shah's assets: BJP says he inherited Rs 18.85 crore in 2013
A Statement Issued By BJP Leader Piyush Goyal Says That Shah Received The Additional Property Through Inheritance.
Bhartiya Janta Party has issued a clarification on the 3 fold increase in party president Amit Shah's property in last years.According to Shah’s affidavit, his movable as well as immovable properties, including his wife’s, stand at around Rs 34.40 crore, including Rs 10.38 crore ancestral property.In his 2012 affidavit for the Assembly polls, the cumulative value of the assets mentioned by him was around Rs 11.15 crore. This suggests his assets grew almost three times in five years.A statement issued by BJP leader Piyush Goyal says that Shah received the additional property through inheritance.
In 2012, Amit Shah and his wife have total assets worth Rs 10.99 crore. On 28.2.2013, Shah inherited Rs 18.85 crore after death of his mother, which brought his total assets to Rs 29.84 crore in 2013, which has become Rs 34.31 crore in 2017, the statement said.
