357 mandals declared drought-hit in Andhra Pradesh: Minister
Andhra Pradesh Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu Today Said 357 Mandals In The State Have Been Declared As Drought-affected.

Andhra Pradesh Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu today said 357 mandals in the state have been declared as drought-affected. “357 mandals in the state have been declared (as) drought-affected and Rs 39 crore, Rs 3 crore each for thirteen districts was released,” the Finance Minister said after visiting villages facing water scarcity in Thonadangi, Tuni mandals in the East Godavari district.He instructed officials to take up immediate measures for provision of drinking water.“The need of the hour is to protect the ground water level,” he said and suggested public to take up water conservation methods to preserve ground water.
