At least 11 people were killed and five others injured after a private bus collided with a passenger auto in Chikkaballapura district of Karnataka on Wednesday.
The unfortunate accident took place at Murugamalla near Chintamani town under the Kencharlahalli Police Station. According to the police, a private bus was heading to Chintamani from Murugamalla. “The accident happened after a passenger auto coming in opposite direction collided with the bus,” police added.
The police further said that after the accident bus was reduced to a mangled heap of metal. “The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital,” police concluded.
