Eight-year-old kickboxer Tajamul Islam created history after winning gold medal at the World Kickboxing Championship held in Andria, Italy this November.
Tajamul who hails from Kashmir’s Bandipora district, has now become the first player ever from the sub-junior category to clinch a gold medal.
According to Tajamul’s coach Master Fasil Ali, Tajamul got the support from Kickboxing Federation of India. The eight-year-old participated in the World Kickboxing Championship which had ninety countries as participants.
Tajamul defeated her rival from United States to become the world champion in kickboxing, creating a sensation in the valley.
