After 'neech' row, Congress bars its spokespersons from speaking against PM Modi
The Advisory From Congress Came A Day After Party’s Now Sacked Leader Mani Shankar Aiyar Sparked A Massive Controversy By Calling Modi A “neech Aadmi.'
Congress on Friday strictly instructed all its spokespersons not to make any personal comment against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or his public addresses.
The advisory from Congress came a day after party’s now sacked leader Mani Shankar Aiyar sparked a massive controversy by calling Modi a “neech aadmi.”
Aiyar’s remark didn’t go down well with the BJP and the party termed the leader is of a “darbari” thinking man.
Modi himself slammed Mani Shankar Aiyar for calling him “neech” and said his comment showed the “Mughalai Mindset” of Congress party.

Aiyar’s remark brought Congress on the back-foot and party’s VP Rahul Gandhi, in a bid to control the damage, rebuked the leader and asked him to apologise.
Rapped by his leader Rahul Gandhi, Aiyar came out with an explanation and apologised to PM Modi for his remark.
Congress party, not repeating its earlier mistake, acted strongly against Aiyar and suspended the leader from party’s primary membership.
The party had also issued a show cause notice to him.
