Akhilesh Yadav demands CBI probe into Gorakhpur hospital tragedy
Akhilesh Said The Government Should Recommend A CBI Probe Into The Matter. He Said The Government Has Affability With CBI And Along With Other Probes, The Agency Should Also Be Pressed In Into Investigation.
Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday demanded CBI probe into children’s deaths in Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur which claimed more than 70 lives past week.
Akhilesh said the government should recommend a CBI probe into the matter. He said the government has affability with CBI and along with other probes, the agency should also be pressed into the investigation.
While replying to chief minister Adityanath‘s recent comment on Janmashtami celebrations at all police stations, Akhilesh said his government will give Rs 5 lakh to each police station in future to celebrate Christmas, Eid, Diwali, Holi and other festivals.
On the other hand, Allahabad High Court has sought a report from Uttar Pradesh government on Gorakhpur tragedy and set date for next hearing on August 29.
