Allahabad HC on Triple Talaq: Muslim Personal Law is not above Constitution
Allahabad High Court On Tuesday Reprimanded The Muslim Clerics For Issuing Fatwas On The Matters Related To Triple Talaq. The High Court Observed Making Unconstitutional Statements In The Name Of Fatwas Cannot Be Permitted.

Allahabad High Court on Tuesday reprimanded the Muslim clerics for issuing fatwas on the matters related to Triple Talaq. The high court observed making unconstitutional statements in the name of fatwas cannot be permitted. Personal laws can only be applied within the ambit of equal human rights, the court said. It is not fair to violate human rights on the basis of gender.
