Andhra Pradesh man kills son after mistaking him to be wife’s lover

A man in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district axed his 14-year-old son to death as he mistook him to be his wife’s paramour, police said on Saturday.
Police said, on Friday morning the man had hit the minor with an axe. He had suffered serious injuries on shoulder and hands.
“The man suspected his wife of having an extra-marital affair. Later in the day, when he saw his son lying beside his wife, he axed him to death believing him to be his wife’s lover,” said a senior police personnel of Kurnool.
The deceased has been identified as Parsuram.
The accused during questioning told the police that he mistook his son to be his wife’s paramour.

“An FIR has been registered against the man under relevant IPC sections,” said police.
