It Is Believed That By Observing Apara Ekadashi Vrat The Sins Of The Person Will Be Washed Away And Gives Divine And Auspicious Results. Like All Ekadashis, The Apara Ekadashi Is Also Dedicated To Worshipping Lord Vishnu.
Apara Ekadashi also known as ‘Achla Ekadashi’ is observed on the eleventh day of the Krishna Paksha (the dark fortnight of moon) in the Hindu month of ‘Jyeshtha’. According to Hindu mythology it is believed that by observing Apara Ekadashi vrat the sins of the person will be washed away and gives divine and auspicious results. Like all ekadashis, the Apara Ekadashi is also dedicated to worshipping Lord Vishnu.
The word ‘apar’ in Hindi implies ‘limitless’, as by observing this vrat the person is believed to get unlimited wealth.
Observation of this Ekadashi is mainly known for washing out all the crimes and mistakes committed by a person both in his/her past and present life.
Therefore one should not have some sort of jealousy and negative thoughts for others while celebrating this auspicious festival.
In short, an individual should be free from all kind of negative vibes before celebration.
The significance of Apara Ekadashi is stated in the ‘Brahma Purana’.

On 23rd, Parana Time = 05:30 to 08:13
On Parana Day Dwadashi End Moment = 12:03
Ekadashi Tithi Begins = 16:41 on 21/May/2017
Ekadashi Tithi Ends = 14:43 on 22/May/2017
Parana means breaking the fast. Ekadashi Parana is done after sunrise on next day of Ekadashi fast. It is necessary to do Parana within Dwadashi Tithi unless Dwadashi is over before sunrise. Not doing Parana within Dwadashi is similar to an offence.
