Around 250 terrorists have infiltrated into Jammu and Kashmir, Home Ministry sources said on Monday. According to sources, the terrorists had entered the Valley before Indian Army’s surgical strike across the LoC targeting seven terror launchpads in response to the Uri terror attacks. The sources further said that more than half of the 250 terrorists who have infiltrated into Kashmir are Pakistanis.
At least 18 Indian Army soldiers were martyred when four terrorists attacked the base camp in Uri area of Jammu and Kashmir on September 18.
Earlier on Monday, intercepts tapped by Indian Army had revealed that terrorist from across LoC are gearing up to launch a major strike in India to avenge September 29 surgical attack on terror launch pads in PoK by Indian Army.
