Educational System Has Suffered Major Setback Since The Unrest Broke In The Kashmir Valley, After The Killing Of 21-year Old Hizbul Mujahideen Commander Burhan Wani On July 8.
Art of Living (AOL) Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar vowed to build 27 schools burnt in Kashmir, the spiritual leader took to Twitter to make this announcement. Educational system has suffered major setback since the unrest broke in the Kashmir valley, after the killing of 21-year old Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8.
At least 25 school have been set ablaze by the protesters in the last three months in the valley. In October, a private school, Iqra Public School, was set on fire by unknown men at Batgund, Dooru in south Anantnag district.
According to officials of State Educational department, at least 25 schools have been set on fire in the last three months and the unrest has affected more than 4500 students studying in these schools.
Taking the note of the situation, earlier the Jammu and Kashmir High court has also directed the police and civil administration to make sure that the civilians remain protected as there is surge in the number of schools were being burnt in the Valley triggering outrage.
