Former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah of trying to defame Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi in the Ishrat Jahan encounter case.“It can be seen in history that BJP leadership always tried to tarnish the image of Congress high command in false cases. BJP has a misunderstanding that Congress would be weakened by such efforts,” Gehlot said in a statement here.He said baseless allegations were being leveled against Sonia Gandhi at the behest of Modi and Shah.
