Assam Police And Army Troops Of The Red Horn Division Under The Gajraj Corps Arrested Five Cadres Of Hynnietrep National Liberation Council (HNLC), Busted The Outfits Camp And Recovered A Huge Cache Of Arms, Ammunition And Explosives Assma’s West Karbi Anglong District On Wednesday.
Assam Police and Army troops of the Red Horn Division under the Gajraj Corps arrested five cadres of Hynnietrep National Liberation Council (HNLC), busted the outfits camp and recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives Assma’s West Karbi Anglong district on Wednesday.
A senior police official said, the joint operation including Army troops and Assam Police was carried out in the Assam-Meghalaya border.
The officer added that the joint operation was launched on September 18. On first day of the operation a cadre of the outfit was arrested who during questioning revealed further about their camp.
“After verifying the inputs received by the HNLC cadre, raids were conducted. In the joint raid security forces arrested another four cadres and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition and daily usage material,” added the officer.
Security forces have recovered two G3 rifle, one .303 rifle, one 7.62mm pistol, a single barrel gun, 10 kilograms of explosives, 40 detonators, 66 live Rds and several mobile phones.
