Bengaluru Police arrests 5 ‘Bheel gang’ members in connection with attack on constable and rifle snatch
Bengaluru Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar Said, “We Have Recovered The Snatched Rifle From The Arrested. During The Course Of Investigation, We Learnt That The Attack Was Carried Ouy By Members Of Madhya Pradesh’s Bheel Gang.'
Bengaluru Police on Friday claimed to have arrested five members of a notorious 'Bheel Gang' of Madhya Pradesh in connection with the attack on a constable and snatching of his loaded rifle on January 17.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner T Suneel Kumar said, “We have recovered the snatched rifle from the arrested. During the course of investigation, we had learnt that the attack was carried out by members of Madhya Pradesh’s Bheel Gang.”
The commissioner further added that a special team led by DCP North East Zone Girish was formed to nab all the criminals involved in the case.
“Our team nabbed the leader of the gang Rai Singh with help of Madhya Pradesh Police,” said additional commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh.
He added that a group of people to help Rai Singh evade arrest attacked the joint raiding team. "We had to fire several rounds of bullet in air to disperse the violent crowd," added the officer.
He added that the gang members have accepted their crime. "During questioning they also told us that they have committed at least 100 robberies in the city," added Singh.
"One of our teams is still camping at Madhya Pradesh to nab the absconding criminals," added the additioal commissioner.
