Country Is In A Grave Crisis Now, Time Has Come To Save It: Sonia Gandhi
Sonia Gandhi Said Ff We Have To Save The Country, We Will Have To Struggle Hard.
Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said that the country is in a grave crisis and time has come to choose a side and fight to save the country. "There comes a point in time where a society, a country or even an individual has to decide and choose its side. That time has come for India," Gandhi said while addressing Bharat Bachao Rally at Ramlila Ground in the national capital.
“It is high time. The time has come. If we have to save the country, we will have to struggle hard,” she added.
Hitting out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, Gandhi said they are not bothered at all that Citizenship Amendment Act will shred the soul of India, just like it is happening in Assam and other states of the northeast.
Earlier, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party over rise in crime incidents, unemployment and farmers’ issue. Mocking the BJP over 'Modi hai to mumkin hai' slogan, she said that "BJP hai to berozgari hai, BJP hai to farmers ko pareshani hai (If there is BJP, there is unemployment… if there is BJP, there is suffering of millions of farmers),” Gandhi said while addressing Bharat Bachao Rally at Ramlila Ground in the national capital.
Priyanka said one who doesn't fight injustice in the country will be judged as a coward.
"One who doesn't fight against injustice in country will be judged as a coward. If we remain silent, our revolutionary Constitution will be destroyed and country's division will start," she said.
She also urged the people to stand united against this government. “If we remain silent, our revolutionary Constitution will be destroyed and country's division will start,” the Congress leader said.
