Union Minister Rajnath Singh Donated One Month’s Salary To A ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ Fund, Which Helps Families Of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) Personnel Who Laid Down Their Lives On Line Of Duty.
Union Minister Rajnath Singh donated one month’s salary to a ‘BharatkeVeer’ fund, which helps families of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel who laid down their lives on line of duty.
Singh handed over a cheque of Rs 1.59 lakh to Union home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi at the launching program of social media awareness campaign regarding the ‘BharatkeVeer’ fund.
A home ministry official informed that the fund has gathered Rs 15 crore so far.
Singh tweeted, “Celebrate #IndependenceDayIndia with the following hashtags and support #BharatKeVeer”
A statement from the home ministry said, “The security forces have made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and people need to stand by their families to support them.”

During the event Singh launched emoji of the ‘BharatKeVeer’ fund and appealed the citizens to support families of martyrs.
An government official said, people can visit the app or the website ‘BharatkeVeer’ and make their contribution.
The official added that the monetary contributions made on the ‘BharatkeVeer’ app or website will directly go into the bank accounts of martyred security personnel’s family members.
The motto of the portal ‘Bharatkeveer.gov.in is to enable the public to help families of paramilitary personnel by donating money online.
CAPF commonly known as paramilitary force includes Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve POlice Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Assam Rifles (AR), Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), National Security Guards (NSG), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF-India).
