BHU clash: Commissioner submits preliminary report to govt, blames varsity administration for callous approach
Varanasi Commissioner Nitin Gokarn Submitted His Report To Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar And Blamed The University Administration For Not Dealing The Issue In A Serious Manner.
The Varanasi district administration has submitted its preliminary report to the state government in connection with BHU violence.
Varanasi commissioner Nitin Gokarn submitted his report to chief secretary Rajiv Kumar and blamed the university administration for not dealing the issue in a serious manner.
Gokarn said in its report that the university administration neither dealt the victim’s complaint in sensitive manner, nor handled the situation on time.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah had spoken to UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditynanath following a police lathi-charge on BHU students and asked him to redress the issue at the earliest.
"The BHU incident is unfortunate. Any amount of sadness expressed over it is not adequate," Union minister Nitin Gadkari had said.
