Begusarai MP and senior BJP leader Bhola Singh dies at 97

Bihar’s Begusarai MP and senior Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Bhola Singh died on Friday at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Singh was 97.
“He (Bhola Singh) will be remembered for his outstanding service to society and efforts towards the development of Bihar,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted.

According to sources, Singh was ill for a long time and was admitted in Delhi hospital
Bhola Singh was elected MLA from Begusarai constituency eight times. He was a member of parliament from Nawada in 2009 and Begusarai in 2014. He was also the Education Minister of Bihar and the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
