An RJD councillor was shot dead on Thursday morning in Danapur area of Patna district. It is said that he was a close aide of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav.
The incident took place when RJD councillor, Kedar Rai, had gone out for a morning walk where bike-borne assailants shot him dead near Sugna mod. Rai suffered three bullet injuries after which he fell down.
Rai was rushed to hospital but the doctors declared him dead on arrival. The police officials did not give their version of the incident.
On Friday, Minhaj Khan, a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) worker was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Sheikhpura village in Siwan, Bihar.
Khan was close to former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, who is serving jail term for multiple murder cases in Tihar.
