Bihar seat share: It's advantage BJP
No Matter How Much Ram Vilas Paswan Or RSLP Chief Murmur About Chief Ministership Or Seat Sharing, Their Claims Will Remain Futile. Forget CMship, Even An Estimable Representation In Bihar Cabinet(if NDA Wins) Is Not Assured For Both These Parties.
Allies are defilading behind Bharitya Janata Party for survival in Bihar battle ground. Lok Janshakti Party, RSLP, and debutante Hindustan Awam Morcha are in no point to negotiate with BJP this time.
No matter how much Ram Vilas Paswan or Upendra Kushwaha murmur about Chief Ministership or seat sharing, their claims will remain futile. Forget CMship, even an estimable representation in Bihar cabinet (if NDA wins) is not assured for both these parties.
On the other hand, third debuting player Hindustan Awam Morcha lead by Ex-Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has already announced for ‘unconditional’ support.
Lok Jan Shakti Party led by Ram Vilas Pawan, came in alliance with NDA sensing a Modi wave in Bihar in 2014 general election and bagged unexpected 6 seats out of allotted seven. Whereas, RSLP led by Upendra Kushawaha bagged unexpected three. But scenario has changed since then. Today it’s not the BJP but the alliance partners which are in need of saffron party’s support for their existence in caste-polarised Bihar.
The two alliance partner of BJP in form of LJP and RSLP are facing a menace of oblivion in retrospetcted political scenario of Bihar. Given the fact that the polarised vote bank of Dalit and Mahadalit is likely to stick JDU-RJD-Congress (Mahagathbandhan) alliance, the three partners of BJP are largely confined with a role to split the vote bank of Mahagathbandhan.
Ram Vilas Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha are in no point to negotiate with BJP today. Having a full majority with 282 seats in centre also, BJP doesn’t requires either’s support for survival. In the state too, BJP has a partner in form of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustan Avam Morcha(HAM) to split Mahgathbandhan’s vote bank. Doing all retrospection, it appears that if LJP and RSLP rebel(which is unlikely), the two parties will be completely sidelined in upcoming Bihar polls.
In the seat sharing announcement BJP will play the role of big brother where LJP and RSLP will be left with no option but to accept with whatever the BJP leaves for them.
