BJP leader Raja Balmiki was shot dead by unidentified bike-borne assailants on Wednesday, reports said. Three men on bike opened fire at the BJP leader, who got a bullet on his head and died on the spot, said reports.
The police reached the spot and investigating the incident.
Raja Balmiki, former Khatoli city BJP general secretary, was shot dead by the assailants at his shop on Wednesday, SHO K P Singh said.Meanwhile, protesting against the murder, irate people blocked the Delhi-Dehradun national highway at Khatoli. The security has been tightened in the area, the SHO said.
