A 16-year-old boy to complete his task of the infamous ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ game committed suicide by hanging himself in Haryana’s Panchkula.
The boy’s suicide was connected to ‘Blue Whale Challenge’ after the victim’s uncle found signs of the game in the boy’s notebook on Monday.
The victim has been identified as Karan Thakur, a resident of Panchkula’s sector 4.
Police said that Thakur had committed suicide on Saturday and his last rites were done on Sunday. A unnatural death case has been registered with the Sector-5 police station.

According to police, the boy’s suicide was connected with the infamous game after the boy’s uncle found several diagrams made by the boy in his notebooks.
In one of the pages, diagrams of ways to commit suicide including jumping from high rise building, hanging self and cutting veins were drawn by the deceased.
Police further added that the boy below the diagram had written, “I should just die, I don't deserve to live, no one like me, no one care whether I live or I die, no one love me, they just use me.”

A senior Panchkula police official said, “When we were alerted about the Blue Whale connection a special team was formed to investigate the matter.”
He added that a team of cops and forensic experts have started their investigation and boy’s room is being inspected.
The family also told the police that the deceased used to tell them that one of his friends his playing the ‘Blue Whale Challenge’.
Police said during course of investigation they have learnt that the deceased had blocked one of his best friends on Facebook as part of the game and used to change his WhatsApp display picture into horrific ones every day.
