Two terrorists killed, two soldiers injured in gunfight in Kashmir’s Mujgund
Two terrorists were killed, while two soldiers suffered injuries in encounter at Mujgund, on the outskirts of Srinagar, on Saturday. Three houses have also been damaged in the encounter.
The terrorists fired upon the security forces when they were conducting a cordon and search operation in Mujgund area earlier in the day. The forces retaliated, ensuing an encounter, a police official was quoted as saying by PTI. The enounter is over now.
Earlier, there were reports many locals took to streets as soon as the news of the gunfight spread in the area. An eye witness told local local media organisation that youth pelted the forces with stones to disrupt the anti-terrorist operation. He added that the forces responded by firing tear gas shells.
