BSF seizes Pak fishing boat in Creek area of Kutch, 4 fishermen escape
Four Fishermen Jumped Off The Boat And Ran Towards Pakistani Side Of The Border Near Sir Creek After Noticing BSF Patrol Party. Search Is On To Catch Them, Officials Said.
The Border Security Force (BSF) Friday seized a Pakistani fishing boat from Pabewari Creek in Kutch district on Indo-Pak border, said officials.
Four fishermen jumped off the boat and ran towards Pakistani side of the border near Sir Creek after noticing BSF patrol party. Search is on to catch them, officials added.
Earlier Thursday, Six Pakistani fishermen were apprehended by the BSF personnel from the Indian side of the Nal Creek which is part of the Sir Creek on the Indo-Pak border.
While Sir Creek is right on the border, Pabewari Creek is well inside Indian territory and falls between Sir Creek and Koteshwar.
The entire Creek area is highly sensitive and Indian fishermen are not allowed to catch fishes there.
However, Pakistani fishermen often come in the area to catch fishes and then either get caught or sail off to their side.
