BSP candidate from Karnaprayag killed in road mishap

BSP candidate from Karnaprayag Kuldip Singh Kanwasi was killed and two others were injured when their car fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district on Sunday.
The three were admitted in a hospital in Karnaprayag where Kanwasi succumbed to his injuries, Chamoli District Magistrate Vinod Kumar Suman said.
Karnaprayag is a high profile constituency from where Deputy Speaker of the state assembly Anusuya Prasad Maikhuri is contesting.
The accident occurred at a place called Patuwa Tital on Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, he said.
