BSP supremo Mayawati addresses a rally in Agra on Sunday Kick starting her UP election campaign for 2017 Assembly polls. In the next one month, Mayawati will address a series of rallies called "Sarvjan Hitay, Sarvjan Sukhay" (Everybody's welfare, everybody's happiness).
The first of her four rallies would be in Agra and is expected to set the tone for her campaign.
In Agra, the theme of the rally is how the BJP is 'anti-Dalit'. Agra is seen as a significant choice when it comes to kickstarting rally for the upcoming UP Assembly polls in 2017 for two reasons.
The western UP district has a significant population of both Dalits, her core support group, and Muslims.
