Kejriwal feels ‘sad’ for students, demands strict action in CBSE paper leak case

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said he felt sad for students who will have to reappear for the CBSE exams and demanded strict action against those involved in the alleged leak of examination papers.
"I really feel sorry and sad for the students who have to give their exams again for no fault of theirs. Responsibility should be fixed n strict action taken against those responsible (sic)," the AAP chief tweeted.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday announced re-examination in Class-X mathematics and Class-XII economics papers following reports of the papers being leaked.
Early in the day, the Congress too demanded sacking of Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar and the CBSE chairperson. Meanwhile, Javadekar said culprits would not go scotfree.
Two separate cases in the matter were registered and the Delhi Police's crime branch on Thursday morning announced a special investigating team.
The SIT, investigating the alleged leak, informed the media that it is interrogating 25 people, including 18 students and five tutors in the case.
