Chandigarh: 56-year-old man dies of swine flu at government hospital
A 56-year-old Man Died Of Swine Flu At A Government Hospital In Chandigarh, A Health Official Said.
A day after a 23-year-old pregnant woman died of swine flu in Hyderabad, another incident of death due to the viral disease has been reported. In Chandigarh, a 56-year-old man died of the disease at a hospital in Sector 32 on Monday.The deceased was diabetic and suffering from hypertension. He died at the Government Medical College and Hospital, a health official said. “The patient was referred from the government hospital at Sector 16 here on Sunday in a serious condition,” he said.

Recently, a 40-year-old from Hoshiarpur had died due to swine flu at the Ludhiana hospital.A 42-year-old man had also died of swine flu at the PGIMER in Chandigarh on July 20, the first casualty of the deadly H1N1 virus in the Union Territory this season.With PTI inputs.
