The CPI(M) on Monday criticised the Centre over the “barbaric” attack on CRPF personnel in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district in which at least 25 jawans were killed, saying it is not concerned about internal security.Taking to Twitter, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury also wondered on whom the onus of the incident lies and called for fixing political responsibility for the security “failure”.“Today’s tragedy also calls for political responsibility and public accountability. Will we see anyone own this failure?“CRPF is without a DG: the govt is clearly unconcerned about internal security, whether it be Kashmir or goons killing in the name of cow (sic),” he said on the micro-blogging site.At least 25 CRPF personnel were killed and six others were wounded in Sukma district on Monday, the deadliest attack by Naxalites targeting security forces this year. The Naxalites mounted the assault around 12:25 PM in Kalapathar area of south Bastar region, one of the worst-hit by Left-wing extremism in the country.
