Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal alleges tampering of EVMs, says votes transferred to Shiromani Akali Dal

He Questioned That How Akali Dal Got 30 Percent Votes While People Were Saying That AAP Would Sweep The Poll, But They Got Only 25 Percent Votes.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appeared before media after post debacle in Punjab and Goa assembly polls, and questioned over usage of EVMs in polls. He alleged that votes have been transferred by tampering in the EVMs.

He questioned that how Akali Dal got 30 percent votes while people were saying that AAP would sweep the poll, but they got only 25 percent votes.

He said it is the responsibility of Election Commission to keep people's faith in EVMs and it cannot shirk its responsibility.

Kejriwal said that developed nations have given up EVMs. He said even BJP patriarch LK Advani also stated against EVMs and opined that it can be tampered.

He said the Election Commission should count slips of VVPAT and match it with figures of EVM results.

When asked about whether EVMs were not tampered during Delhi and Bihar assembly polls, Kejriwal said people who tamper the EVMs should know why they did not tamper EVMs then.

The Delhi chief minister said that the Supreme Court already made its comment on EVMs vulnerability. While referring to media he said that he will not be spared on social media, and people would ridicule him via hastag on social media and other websites.

Kejriwal also blamed their vote shares have have been transferred to Akali and Congress as the latter turned out winner in the polls. Theu only wanted to keep them out, he said.
