Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday claimed that cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu rejected AAP's offer because he wanted to be Congress' chief ministerial candidate. He said that AAP had offered Sidhu the post of Deputy CM.
According to reports, Sidhu could be chief ministerial candidate from Congress in Punjab. During a press conference in Amritsar, Kejriwal pointed out the probability of Sindhu becoming chief ministerial candidate.
Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu has recently joined Congress and according to reports Navjot Singh Sidhu will join the party to contest election from Amritsar Halka East constituency.
