Anti-demonetisation protest: Opposition parties to observe November 8 as Black Day
While Addressing A Press Conference In The National Capital, Azad Said Demonetisation Is A Scam Of The Century.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday said 18 opposition parties would observe November 8 as Black Day to mark their protest against demonetisation which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year on the very same day.
While addressing a press conference in the national capital, Azad said demonetisation is a scam of the century. He said Congress president Sonia Gandhi has constituted a coordination committee of six parties.Â
Azad said the government made 135 changes since demonetisation was implemented and several people lost their lives.Â
Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Derek O Brien said that all opposition parties will question the government, and would observe November 8 as Black Day.Â
When asked about the appointment of interlocutor on Kashmir, he said Union Home Minister should have said that who are the stakeholders.Â
