Dhanteras, Also Known As Dhanatrayodashi Or Dhanvantari Trayodashi, Marks The Beginning Of The Five-day Festival Of Diwali.
Dhanteras, also known as Dhanatrayodashi or Dhanvantari Trayodashi, marks the beginning of the five-day festival of Diwali.
On this day, devotees worship goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera, the God of wealth and celebrate the festival by buying something made of metal like jewellery, coins of gold or silver or household items made of iron, copper or brass.
Lakshmi Puja should be done during Pradosh Kaal which begins after sunset and approximately lasts for 2 hours and 24 minutes.
